From Umbria Italy, this is a blend of 70% Trebbiano (harvested in Mid-September) & 30% Grechetto (picked at the end of September) and fermented in stainless steel.
Pale straw green colors with attractive aromas of key lime pie and a floral touch, dry with fresh acidity and fruit flavors of green melon and pear, accompanied by a pleasant nutty edge. Good, clean, and slightly bitter finish with decent length. Will work well especially if paired with risotto, seafood or pasta. 12% Alcohol, SRP $15.
The name Torgiano is a composite of Torre (Tower) and Giano (The Roman God Janus) originated in Roman times.
