This juicy Sancerre Blanc or Sauvignon Blanc reminds me of rainwater, pale golden colors the glass while verdant aromas of grapefruit, or even a bit of orange and a slight funk are intense on the palate. Has a nice minerality and shows great balance, with flavors of ripe kiwi, sweet floral lychee, and perfumed with a long juicy finish.
Fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged on the fine lees for at least 6 months.
Paired so well with Verde Capra from Lombardy, a super creamy goat cheese styled after a mild cow's milk gorgonzola.
Found this great duo at the bar Isola at the Mondrian Soho.
