From Marlborough, New Zealand, a terroir known for amazing Sauvignon Blanc grapes comes Monkey Bay. With pale straw colors, clear and bright, attractive aromas of grapefruit, grass and pineapple, giving way on the palate to bitter pineapple with hints of melon, citrus and lychee. Bright and refreshing with a nice finish which paired nicely with a garlic and parsley poached red snapper (using some of the wine in the poaching liquid) with a side of pasta with fresh pesto sauce.
Maybe it's because I'm getting older, I'm finding enjoyment in things that stop time. Just the simple act of tasting a glass of wine is its own event. You're not downing a glass of wine in the midst of doing something else.~

... for a meal, a gathering, or to bring for a dinner party... everything I need is right in the pages of Vigna Uva Vino.
Dave is always spot on with classic standbys, refreshing newbies, or super values that bust open one's taste buds while going easy on the wallet. Not once have I been disappointed by Dave's tastings, and when taking him up on his suggestions, I have received accolades from others with wine preferences of a most discerning palette. Bravo.
