This wine is a "frizzante"... an almost imperceptibly sparkling red dessert wine made from the Brachetto grape in the Acqui district of Southern Piedmont. It reminds me a little of a moscato and a little of champagne, but light rose in color, medium bodied with floral aromas and flavors of cherries and finally a bright raspberry finish. It was deliciously paired with Affogato al Cafe, vanilla ice cream with a shot of espresso at
Uvarara.
