From Conegliano around the Veneto Hills, Italy comes this blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a small percentage of Marzemino. Aged in French barrels for 24 months and at least another 6 months in bottle. Deep ruby red colors precede the intense aromas of chocolate, tobacco and a just opened raspberry/blackberry jam followed by waves of spices and underbrush. Full-bodied and rich with integrated flavors leaving medium tannins riding on the licorice finale.
